Meinl's Byzance series is all about quality. The B18JMTC is an 18-inch crash from the Byzance Jazz series - a series of cymbals that aim for a musical tone, and that hark back to the great jazz drummers and albums of the last 60 years. The Medium Thin Crash is hand-hammered and finished, and made from the very durable B20 bronze alloy.

This cymbal responds to even your slightest change in dynamics and opens up quickly, with an almost explosive attack, while its overall sound is dark and warm, and fits in especially well in a jazz setting. It decays rapidly, but before it does so, it displays an impressive and complex array of tones. This crash is even suited for use as a light ride cymbal, making it exceedingly versatile and great in combination with a heavy Byzance Jazz ride.
